There's nothing there. There seems to be something below the ground, but I understand it might simply be a graphical glitch. Since it seems impossible to complete the library sidequest (or maybe it's just bugged for me) I found some suspicious spots as shown here: I figured that their use was to block the spinning blades that were present. I think those blocks were in the northern part of the room when you enter there the first time. Did you figure out the placement of the 6 blocks in the east wing of the sacred owl temple?
